Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of qatonic.com and the QATonic product family, including QAStarter, QAPrompt, and QAMigrate (collectively, the "Services"). The Services are operated by QATonic Innovations Pvt Ltd, a private limited company with its registered office in Pune, Maharashtra, India.

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal authority to enter into a binding contract. If you use the Services on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3.1 QAStarter

QAStarter is offered free of charge through qastarter.qatonic.com. You may use the projects QAStarter generates for any lawful purpose, including commercial use. The generated project becomes yours to own, modify, and distribute under whatever licence you choose.

3.2 QAMigrate

QAMigrate is published on the Python Package Index under the MIT License. The MIT License terms govern your use of the QAMigrate package itself. These Terms cover ancillary services we provide (for example, the qatonic.com listing page or hosted documentation), not the package's open-source license.

3.3 QAPrompt and other Services

QAPrompt and any other hosted product available at a QATonic subdomain are provided subject to these Terms and any product-specific terms presented within the product. Where a product requires an account or paid plan, additional terms (including payment terms) will apply.

You agree not to:

• Use the Services to violate any applicable law or third-party right
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code from the hosted Services beyond what is permitted by open-source licences
• Use the Services to generate, store, or transmit harmful, infringing, or fraudulent content
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services without prior written authorisation
• Interfere with the integrity of the Services, including by sending excessive automated requests

Several QATonic products use large language models from third parties (for example, Anthropic Claude or OpenAI GPT-4o) to generate or transform code and test artefacts. AI output is probabilistic and may contain errors, omissions, or insecure patterns.

You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any AI-generated output before deploying it to production. QATonic does not warrant that AI-generated output will be accurate, complete, fit for purpose, free of defects, or non-infringing.

All trademarks, logos, branding, and proprietary code of the Services not released under an open-source licence remain the property of QATonic Innovations Pvt Ltd or its licensors. You may not use QATonic branding without our prior written consent.

Where a Service is released under an open-source licence (for example, QAMigrate under the MIT License), the open-source licence governs your rights to that specific software.

If you send us suggestions, comments, or other feedback about the Services, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use that feedback for any purpose, including improving the Services. You are not entitled to compensation for feedback.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any defect will be corrected.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, QATONIC INNOVATIONS PVT LTD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QATonic Innovations Pvt Ltd and its officers, employees, and contractors from any claim, loss, or expense arising out of your use of the Services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing-law provisions) will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to the dispute-resolution mechanism below, the courts of Pune, Maharashtra, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent material change. Continued use of the Services after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
