QAStarter
Free QA framework generator
What is QAStarter?
QAStarter is QATonic's free test automation framework generator. Choose a testing stack and download a project with source code, example tests, and a structure you can extend. You can use the generator without creating an account.
It is a starting point for a test suite rather than a hosted test runner. The generated project belongs in your own repository, where you configure the application under test, manage dependencies, and run it locally or through CI.
How to get started
- 1
Choose the stack
Open the generator and choose a framework and language combination that fits your team. Available options include browser, mobile, API, and performance testing stacks.
- 2
Download and inspect
Generate the ZIP, extract it, and read its README. Review the page objects, fixtures, sample tests, build configuration, and any generated CI workflow.
- 3
Run your first real test
Install the stack's dependencies, configure your application's URL and test credentials, and run the included example before adapting it to a real user journey.

Not every framework supports every language or option. Review the generator's available combinations and validate dependencies and CI settings for your own environment.
